张亚勤：男，1966年生，数字视频和人工智能领域的世界级科学家、企业家，清华大学智能科学讲席教授、智能产业研究院院长，中国工程院外籍院士、美国艺术与科学院院士、澳大利亚国家工程院外籍院士、国际欧亚科学院院士、美国电气和电子工程师协会院士（IEEE Fellow）。兼任：世界经济论坛达沃斯“人工智能委员会”委员、“未来交通指导委员会”委员，全球最大自动驾驶技术开放平台Apollo联盟理事长，联合国计划发展总署（UNDP）企业董事会董事，十余所世界顶尖高校担任校董、荣誉或客座教授，并在4家高科技公司担任董事。2014年9月至2019年10月担任百度公司总裁。出任百度总裁前，张亚勤曾在微软公司工作16年，历任全球资深副总裁兼微软亚太研发集团主席、微软亚洲研究院院长兼首席科学家、微软全球副总裁和微软中国董事长。张亚勤院士是数字视频和人工智能领域的世界级科学家和企业家，拥有60多项美国专利，在《Multimedia IEEE》《IEEE Transactions on Multimedia》《International Journal of Image and Graphics》等期刊上发表500多篇学术论文，并出版《智能涌现：在AI时代的思考与探索》《云计算360度：微软专家纵论产业变革》等专著11本；发明的多项图像视频压缩和传输技术被国际标准采用，广泛地应用于高清电视、互联网视频、多媒体检索、移动视频、和图像数据库领域。获得IEEE行业先锋奖、入选世界前 1000 顶级计算机科学家名单、2019年度旅美科协“卓越科技企业领袖奖”、中国信息产业杰出贡献个人成就奖、华人商业领袖奖、2007年中国十大科技英才、最杰出亚裔工程师奖、IEEE年度产业创新领袖奖（Industry Pioneer Award）、美国年度青年电子工程师大奖（Young Engineer of The year）、中国政府友谊奖等奖项。
Zhang Yaqin: Male, born in 1966, is a world-class scientist and entrepreneur in the fields of digital video and artificial intelligence. He is a Tsinghua University Chair Professor of Intelligent Science and Director of the Institute for Intelligent Industry, a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a foreign member of the Australian Academy of Engineering, a member of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, and an IEEE Fellow. He concurrently serves as a member of the World Economic Forum's Davos 'Artificial Intelligence Committee' and 'Future Transportation Steering Committee,' chairman of the Apollo Alliance, the world's largest open platform for autonomous driving technology, a corporate board member of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and holds positions as board member, honorary, or visiting professor at more than ten top universities worldwide, as well as holding board positions at four high-tech companies. From September 2014 to October 2019, he served as President of Baidu Inc. Before joining Baidu, Zhang worked at Microsoft for 16 years, holding positions such as Global Senior Vice President and Chairman of Microsoft Asia-Pacific R&D Group, Director and Chief Scientist of Microsoft Research Asia, Microsoft Global Vice President, and Chairman of Microsoft China. Academician Zhang Yaqin is a world-class scientist and entrepreneur in digital video and artificial intelligence, holding more than 60 U.S. patents and having published over 500 academic papers in journals such as Multimedia IEEE, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, and International Journal of Image and Graphics. He has authored 11 monographs including 'Intelligent Emergence: Reflections and Explorations in the AI Era' and 'Cloud Computing 360°: Industry Transformation Insights from Microsoft Experts.' Several of his inventions in image and video compression and transmission technologies have been adopted as international standards and are widely applied in HDTV, Internet video, multimedia retri, mobile video, and image databases. He has received numerous awards, including the IEEE Industry Pioneer Award, being listed among the world's top 1,000 computer scientists, the 2019 Outstanding Technology Enterprise Leadership Award by the American Association for Chinese Scientists in the U.S., the Individual Achievement Award for Outstanding Contribution to China's Information Industry, Chinese Business Leader Award, 2007 Top Ten Chinese Scientific and Technological Talents, the Most Outstanding Asian Engineer Award, the IEEE Industry Innovation Leader Award, the Young Engineer of the Year Award in the United States, and the Friendship Award of the Chinese Government.
