向荣：男，1957年2月人，湖北长阳人，复旦大学历史学系教授、博士生导师，国家社科基金项目学科评审组专家，享受国务院政法特殊津贴。兼任中国世界中世纪史学会副理事长、中国英国史学学会副理事长、上海市世界史学会会长。曾任武汉大学历史学院副院长、珞珈特聘教授、博士生导师。师从世界史史学大师吴于廑先生，于1985年获武汉大学15、16世纪世界史方向硕士研究生学位，1996年获英国伯明翰大学哲学（历史学）博士学位。主要研究方向为中世纪晚期近代早期欧洲史、英国史。主讲的《世界近代史》课程于2010年被评为国家级精品课程。在国内率先创办世界史试验班，以国际化、开放式办学模式为导向进行教学改革，培养了大批优秀的世界史专门人才。著有《历史的延续与变迁》，主编《中世纪晚期&近代早期欧洲社会转型论集》、《中世纪晚期与近代早期英格兰经济社会变迁研究论集》。在《中国社会科学》《历史研究》《世界历史》等权威刊物发表论文30多篇。曾获第七届高等教育国家级教学成果奖一等奖（2014年），排名第一；获第八届高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖（人文社会科学）二等奖（2020年）；主持教育部重大攻关项目（马工程重点教材编写专项）：世界文明史（第一首席专家）。曾获“武汉大学教学名师”称号、第二届“武汉大学杰出教学贡献校长奖”、全国211院校“2009历史学专业最受欢迎十大教授榜”。
Xiang Rong: male, born in February 1957, from Changyang, Hubei Province, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Department of History of Fudan University, expert of the discipline uation team of the National Social Science Fund Project, and enjoys the special political and legal allowance of the State Council. He is also the vice president of the Chinese Society of World Medi History, the vice president of the Chinese British Historical Society, and the president of the Shanghai Society of World History. He used to be the deputy dean of the School of History, Luojia Distinguished Professor, and doctoral supervisor of Wuhan University. He received a master's degree in 15th and 16th century world history from Wuhan University in 1985 and a doctorate in philosophy (history) from the University of Birmingham in 1996. His main research interests are late medi and early modern European history and British history. In 2010, the course "Modern World History" was rated as a national excellent course. It is the first in China to establish a pilot class for world history, which has carried out teaching reform guided by the internationalization and open school-running model, and has cultivated a large number of outstanding world history professionals. He is the author of "The Continuation and Change of History", and the editor-in-chief of "Essays on Social Transformation in Late Medi & Early Modern Europe" and "Essays on Economic and Social Change in Late Medi and Early Modern England". He has published more than 30 papers in authoritative journals such as Chinese Social Sciences, Historical Research, and World History. He won the first prize of the 7th National Teaching Achievement Award for Higher Education (2014), ranking first; He won the second prize of the 8th Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Output Award (Humanities and Social Sciences) (2020); He presided over the major research project of the Ministry of Education (special project for the compilation of key textbooks of the horse project): the history of world civilization (the first chief expert). He has been awarded the title of "Famous Teacher of Wuhan University", the second "President Award for Outstanding Teaching Contribution of Wuhan University", and the "2009 Top Ten Most Popular Professors of History" by 211 colleges and universities in China.
