罗民兴:男,1963年6月出生,浙江长兴人,理论物理学家,中国科学院院士,浙江大学物理系教授、博士生导师,教育部长江学者特聘教授,国家自然科学基金杰出青年基金获得者,享受国务政府特殊津贴。 1983年毕业于浙江大学物理系;1990年毕业于美国宾夕法尼亚大学物理系,获博士学位;1990年至1991年在美国宾夕法尼亚大学物理系从事博士后研究工作;1994年任教于浙江大学物理系浙江近代物理中心;1997年任浙江大学物理系教授;2015年当选为中国科学院院士。罗民兴院士主要从事量子场论和基本粒子物理理论的研究。在标准模型与弱电实验分析方面的研究成果是粒子物理学近25年来的重要进展之一。通过分析标准模型与相关实验结果,与合作者确定了物理学基本常数弱电混合角和基本粒子顶夸克的质量上限,奠定了精确检验标准模型与探索新物理的基础,并为费米实验室发现顶夸克提供了理论准备。发现强弱电三种耦合常数在超对称框架下的统一,这被认为是支持超对称统一场论的重要证据之一。 单篇论文最高引用超过1200次,总引用超过2500次,引文作者包括六位诺贝尔奖得主,六位狄拉克奖得主,五篇论文长期被国际粒子物理数据组(PDG)引用。
Luo Minxing: Male, born in June 1963, from Changxing, Zhejiang. He is a theoretical physicist, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a professor and PhD supervisor in the Department of Physics at Zhejiang University, a Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor appointed by the Ministry of Education, a recipient of the National Natural Science Foundation's Outstanding Youth Fund, and enjoys a special government allowance. He graduated from the Department of Physics at Zhejiang University in 1983; earned his PhD from the Department of Physics at the University of Pennsylvania, USA, in 1990; and did postdoctoral research there from 1990 to 1991. In 1994, he started teaching at Zhejiang University's Department of Physics and Zhejiang Center for Modern Physics; in 1997, he became a professor there; in 2015, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Academician Luo Minxing mainly focuses on research in quantum field theory and the theory of fundamental particle physics. His work analyzing the Standard Model and weak interaction experiments is one of the major advances in particle physics over the past 25 years. By studying the Standard Model and related experimental results, he and his collaborators determined the basic weak mixing angle and the upper mass limit of the top quark, laying the foundation for precise testing of the Standard Model and exploring new physics, and also provided theoretical preparation for the discovery of the top quark at Fermilab. He discovered the unification of the three strong and weak coupling constants within the supersymmetric framework, which is considered important evidence supporting supersymmetric unified field theory. One of his papers has been cited over 1,200 times, total citations exceed 2,500, with citing authors including six Nobel Prize winners and six Dirac Prize winners, and five of his papers have been referenced long-term by the international Particle Data Group (PDG).
