中国工程院院士，清华大学机械工程系教授
个人履历：
王玉明：男，1941年1月出生，吉林梨树县人，流体密封工程技术专家、机械设计及理论专家，中国工程院院士，清华大学机械工程系教授、博士生导师、系学术委员会主任，中国机械工程学会首批会士，享受国务院特殊津贴。1965年在清华大学燃气轮机专业六年制本科毕业。1965年9月至1967年12月任第一机械工业部压缩机械研究所（北京）技术员。1968年1月至1982年3月任核工业部理化工程研究院工程师。1982年4月至1988年9月任天津市机械密封件厂高级工程师。1988年10月至1996年4月任天津克兰密封有限公司高级工程师。1996年5月至2005年8月任天津鼎名密封有限公司教授级高级工程师。2003年当选为中国工程院院士。2007年9月调入清华大学任精密仪器与机械学系教授。长期从事危险性介质透平机械的非接触式密封装置及测控系统的研发，取得多项具有自主知识产权的成果并实现产业化。作为惟一或第一发明人和第一完成人，取得了多项具有自主知识产权的成果并实现了产业化，解决了重大技术难题，特别是在石油、石化行业的大型、高速透平压缩机的轴密封方面取得重要突破。在国内外发表论文140余篇。获中国发明专利54项，美国发明专利2项。作为第一完成人获国家级和省部级科技奖11次，包括国家科技进步二等奖一项，国家技术发明二等奖和四等奖各一项。
